Greetings, and welcome to the KB3WHX website.

This site is primarily of “HAM” – “Amateur Radio” interest. This is also a place to chronicle happenings, events, and interests around the area.  The site developer does have a wide interest base, so you could concievibly find just about anything here. A place to learn and share information, and provide something back to the “HAM” community, and the general community at large, while sparking interest in Amateur Radio at the same time.

All of the family locally are licensed “Amateur Radio Operators”  I guess you could call us a “Hamily”.

It is also comprised of any other participating other “HAMS” that have contacted me, and registered on this site. It is a place to share, learn, and grow in the hobby.

The main focus of my site is to promote the “hobby” of “Amateur Radio”.  Although for many it is much more than a hobby.  It is perhaps the first social media, emergency communications, and the original and perhaps still the best original wireless.  To use a phrase that you hear often, “When all else fails, Amateur Radio Still Works.”

This site will be a repository of information, software sources, interesting knowledge, and experiences through time within the still quite active “HAM” community.

It will also be a place for me to opine on the issues of the day, and sometimes rant a little, mostly at the seeming apathy.  In other words, I am fine with it as long as I dont have to do anything crowd which seems to have crept into our midst.  Ok, who was on watch? 🙂

Since my forte’ is computers and web sites, I do offer my services to other HAM’s.
